International Women’s Day..

So today, we celebrate women. We could go on for years on end on why we are so wonderful and quite frankly we think everyday should be our day.  But what actually happens on this glorious day?

Does the world turn pink?

Do we sit and bathe in a sea of shoes?

Do we get a day full of sales and freebies at Prada?

Will Abercrombie and Fitch unleash their stash of models onto the city?

Or maybe The Tate will dedicate the day to relevant pictures...*cough* One Direction *cough*?

No… instead, we have the pleasure of sitting in the kitchen, slaving away and cooking for one - as the guys of the household go out to celebrate the day! How very fun!

But in this world of supposed equality, we feel men should also have a day.Minute. We shall make it official. As of this year onwards, on the 30^th of February every year, men everywhere shall have their special minute where their talents are acknowledged. Although we are struggling to come to terms with what talents will be appreciated.

Let us have a moment for the bunch of guys across the globe who have successfully wasted precious hours of their lives playing COD. No, not the fish.

Okay, moment's over. Now that we have that out of the way, moving Swift-ly...
I say we appreciate this day and treasure it 'forever and always' [quote from a successful young women - Taylor Swift (-ly haha)].
To celebrate we should all buy ourselves a nice pair of shoes with the money we earn ourselves. Maybe one day we'll be able to buy a nicer pair of shoes when we get paid the same as men. Cheers to that!
